How This Founder Is Helping Women

Jane Mosbacher Morris has always valued making a positive impact on others. Mosbacher Morris
started her career working in counterterrorism at the U.S. Department
of State, followed by the Secretary’s Office for Global Women’s Issues
and the McCain Institute for International Leadership. As she traveled
the world, she witnessed the overwhelming impact of female inequality
and knew she wanted to find a way to help women have financial
independence. On a business trip to Kolkata, India, Mosbacher Morris had an epiphany —
she could provide economic empowerment for communities by creating a
marketplace that connects local artisans with people who wish to buy
social impact goods.
