How To Safely Bring Wheat Back Into Your Diet

How To Safely Bring Wheat Back Into Your Diet

Bread and Cake lovers will rejoice at this news.   For those who have to be careful to avoid eating food that contains Wheat, this article should give useful information:

  • Wheat was domesticated about 10,000 to 12,000 years ago, and grains covered much of the African continent, making them hard to ignore as a food source
  • Wheat is hard to digest and is known to cause digestive problems. But the best answer may not be to remove wheat altogether
  • By properly repairing and restoring your digestive function, you may regain your ability to eat organic, whole wheat

The Truth About Bread

Finally, The Truth About Bread

It is alarming that a daily staple should now be so toxic when we have been eating this for centuries.

For most us, there are few foods more comforting than bread.

Fluffy biscuits, crusty baguettes, flaky croissants… even a simple slice of toast topped with melted butter can taste like heaven.

And that smell… few scents are quite as pleasant as fresh bread baking in the oven.
But there is a lot of confusion as to where bread fits into a healthy diet.

The Bible practically commands followers to eat it: “Give us this day our daily bread…” The government put it at the base of the food pyramid. And for centuries, it has been called “the staff of life.”

Of course, there are some who disagree…

Well-known cardiologist, Dr. William Davis, calls wheat “the perfect chronic poison.”
And for a poison, we sure eat lots of it…

When Gluten Can Make You Crazy

When Gluten Can Make You Crazy

Here is an interesting case study about the effect of Gluten in the diet.  It makes me wonder how many people are diagnosed with mental disorders that could easily be solved by leaving out Gluten.

After all, we hear so much about mental disorders that are said to be related to  stress and maybe, just maybe, the cause could be found elsewhere in the diet for instance.

How Gluten and Modern Food Processing Contribute to Poor Health

Wheat And How It Ravages Your Gut

More and more, we are learning about the effect of wheat on our health.  Dr. Mercola's articles and videos are of great help in giving us information about the various factors.

  • Gluten is a protein made up of glutenin and gliadin molecules, which in the presence of water form an elastic bond. Gluten is found primarily in wheat, rye and barley, but other grains may contain it as well
  • For those with celiac disease, a severe gastrointestinal reaction to gluten, a gluten-free diet is vital. But many have some level of gluten intolerance or sensitivity, and fare better on a gluten-free diet as well
  • Besides gluten, other factors contributing to the rise in gluten intolerance and similar symptoms include wheat hybridization for higher gluten content, other wheat components, the milling or baking process and glyphosate contamination

Start the New You Now

Valuable information here about the effect of wheat on our body.  Most crops are now genetically modified and therefore many people have an intolerance to this kind of food.  Growing up, I had very healthy food with produce from my father's farm.  Everything we ate was organically produced.  We have come a long way from that today where everything is mass produced and people only accept the nicest looking food.

This video will hopefully shed light on the effect of wheat and gluten on our digestive system.

With very best wishes for good health in 2014!
