How To Care For A Friend Who Has Lost A Child

The loss of a child must be the most devastating blow for any parent.  In recent years during the Afghan war, so many parents have experienced this but it is not just Army casualties but daily there are accidents involving children and adolescents and there is also illness.

I wanted to share this article as often when friends are going through the trauma of the loss of a child, we are at a loss for words of comfort.

I hope this helps in some way to prepare for such a situation.

Woman Turns Tragedy Into A Mission To Help Others

From Tragedy To Helping Others

For a mother, the death of her child must be the most soul destroying experience ever whatever the cause.  I can't imagine any other tragedy that comes close to this.

How very remarkable then when women can turn this into a force for good to help others through sharing their experience and setting up foundations to help future victims of such tragedies.

As a result of her experience after her child died, one woman did just that and set up a foundation to help with the funeral arrangements.  That is just one part of the story, how many more traumas there are surrounding the death of a child I cannot imagine but they are numerous.
