Cancer Prevention Through Exercise

Exercise Helps Prevent Cancer

It is interesting to learn how important exercise is in cancer prevention.  Not surprising though when we consider that it strengthens the Immune System which is so vital in fighting any diseases.

  • Exercise is an important component of cancer prevention and care; slashing your risk of cancer occurrence, improving your chances of successful recuperation, and diminishing your risk of cancer recurrence
  • Exercise-induced adrenaline helps circulate natural killer (NK) immune cells in your bloodstream, and an immune signaling molecule released by muscles during exercise guides the NK cells into tumors
  • Mice who spent their free time running on an exercise wheel experienced a 50 percent reduction in tumor growth compared to inactive mice. Other studies have also shown exercise can cut your cancer risk in half
