The Truth About Raw Milk

There has been controversy surrounding milk, whether raw or pasturized.  Some health experts say it is unhealthy to drink milk in whichever form.  The article is most interesting and informative.
  • Raw milk from healthy, organically raised, grass-fed, or pastured cows is an excellent health food, with an exceptional safety record
  • Grass-fed organic milk tends to be yellowish, not pure white, courtesy of the carotenoids found in the grass. Raw grass-fed milk is also high in probiotics, omega-3 fat, and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA)
  • Other healthy options include goat, sheep, donkey, and camel milk. Both sheep and goat milk are closer to human milk than cow’s milk. Goat milk is almost identical to human breast milk
