Harmful Effects of Mobile Phones

I have written about this before after a colleague of mine who suffered from a non-malignant brain tumor, (her tumor was not caused by radiation through technology as she was in her eighties when she was diagnosed),  told me that when she was called into Hospital for another six-week session of radiotherapy to stop the tumor spreading, albeit non-malignant, she was astonished this time round at the number of young people with tumors waiting for radiotherapy treatment.  We must then ask:  Is radiation through our modern technology, (cell phones, mainly), contributing to the spread of brain tumors in young people?

Radiation is basically energy moving from one place to another, in either waves or particles. There are two types of radiation: ionizing and non-ionizing. Ionizing radiation comes from radioactive sources or nuclear reactions and is the type that causes mutations and malignant cancers. Non-ionizing radiation is what cell phones emit and contains less energy than ionizing radiation, therefore making it less harmful. But it IS still harmful. Non-ionizing radiation can enter the body and harm sensitive tissue.
