While travelling to Morocco some years ago now, I witnessed at first hand the widespread use of Argan Oil both for cooking and cosmetics. This is said to be as precious as gold dust. And has been used by Berbers in their diet for centuries. It tastes really good and nutty and can be used in the same way as Olive Oil for dipping bread into it as a starter and many other delicious foods.
Both the medicinal and esthetic benefits of Argan Oil are well known and there is growing demand for this oil. It contains three times the amount of Vitamin E, has been proven to lower bad Cholesterol and is used as an anti-frizz hair care product plus as extremely nourishing body lotion.
I was therefore delighted when I discovered a supplier in the UK now. A small company is supplying this oil for cooking.
The supplier for culinary oil is: myarganic.co.uk, and a 100ml bottle of this oil retails at £15 - £18. Of course there are many more suppliers but this company is one I trust, it is small and keen to succeed.
