⛅ Today’s tip: When thinking about how to re-enter the world, aim for the least risky decision, instead of the perfect one.

As the black-and-white restrictions of quarantine give way to the gray area of reopening, the rules are much less crisp and clear.

So rather than trying to eliminate risk entirely, focus on mitigating it.

The writer Ashley Abramson recommends creating a flexible re-entry plan to feel both safe and in control going forward: Assemble your facts, adapt as the situation changes, and listen to your gut when something doesn’t feel right.

There is no “perfect” scenario, she writes, when the most protective measure against Covid-19 — staying isolated indefinitely — isn’t feasible for most of us: “The best thing you can do right now is be smart, be responsible, and be kind to yourself as you navigate this next phase.”
