She may have her masters in environmental science, but it's her love for fashion that led her to becoming a personal stylist.

Kristen Campbell is the owner of Threads of Hershey. Her store is helping boost the confidence of women throughout Central Pa. She understands what works best for people when it comes to clothing.

"I am really helping people get confidence to wear their clothes in a way that represents who they are. So I am trying to teach them how to manage their closet, how to put looks together and then how to shop more effectively and efficiently," said Campbell.

As a personal stylist, Campbell helps women shop right out of their own closet.
"So we go piece by piece and we talk about does it fit perfectly? Do we love it? How do you wear it," she explained.

Campbell has organized countless of closets and styled many women, like Jonette Lawn. Lawn says at first, she exactly sure how this whole 'personal stylist' thing worked.

"I'm nervous I am going to go out and have to buy all sorts of new things. She's going to come in my closet and she's going to tell me to get rid of everything. Is that what happened? No," said Lawn.
"We put together a personal look book for our clients," explained Campbell.

While the looks are personalized, there are some things Campbell says should be in every closet: "Your great pair of jeans, your great pair of black pants, a denim jacket, a leather coat. Those are things that things that are really going to anchor your wardrobe season after season and make it easy to put things together. If you don't have those pieces and your just chasing trends or chasing sales you're always going to fail."

Campbell believes that with a few basic skills, looking great can be an easy task. Her goal is to build personal relationships with her clients and help them feel confident and beautiful.

"She's very inspiring because it's things that you see on other people or you see in magazines or on tv and you're like oh I wish I could wear that. With her she gives you the confidence, she tells you, you should be wearing that, it's a color you should be wearing, a look you can pull off," said Lawn.
