INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Women who have faced tough times and are now trying to get their lives back on track need your help.
You can help out by giving them a new suit to wear for their next job interview.
This week is Send One Suit Week for "Dress for Success" here in Indianapolis. It's an annual fundraiser to collect suits and blouses for women in need.
Secretary of State Connie Lawson is taking part by collecting donations for the fifth year in a row. Her office says Secretary Lawson's collections have gathered more than 1,000 suits over the past four years.
"Ultimately, these suits do more than help women get jobs; they help them move towards economic independence," Secretary Lawson said in a statement. "I encourage everyone to look in their closet this week to see if they have a least one suit they can donate."
If you would like to donate through the Secretary of State's office, drop off your donation anytime this week from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at Room 201 of the Statehouse.
Classic Cleaners is also helping out with this clothes drive.
